Excitement Builds for Sony's Upcoming State of Play Featuring PS5 Pro Reveals

Sony is set to unveil its next State of Play presentation soon, with speculation that fresh titles for the PS5 Pro could be featured. Recent assertions from industry expert Jeff Grubb, a reporter for Giant Bomb, indicate that the livestream may occur as early as next week. In the latest episode of Game Mess Mornings, he mentioned that the event is "almost certainly happening" on September 24, as reported by VGC.

According to reports, the anticipated remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn is likely to debut during the showcase, particularly after a recent ESRB rating surfaced, hinting at a release for both PS5 and PC. Grubb also noted that another remaster will be introduced at the State of Play, although he described this one as "even less exciting" compared to the Horizon remaster. As part of the ongoing effort to release PS4 titles in remastered form on PS5 and PC, Grubb stated that a remaster of Bloodborne is not on the horizon. He confirmed that there is still no update regarding the Bloodborne situation.

Last week, Sony officially announced the PS5 Pro during its PlayStation 5 Technical Presentation, announcing a global release slated for November 7, 2024. Throughout the presentation, various titles, including The Last of Us Part 2 and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, were showcased on the PS5 Pro, highlighting the capability of the new system.

While no specifics have been confirmed, with the console's launch just months away, it’s possible that more previously launched PS5 titles may be demonstrated running on the new hardware. Additionally, fans might be treated to a first look at a game currently in development for the PS5 Pro. It remains to be seen what Sony has in store.
