Lies of P 8K Gameplay Reveals Intense Boss Fight
Jan-16-2023
AMD recently released some new Lies of P gameplay in 8K resolution, showcasing part of the upcoming Pinocchio-inspired souls like ARPG. The intense boss fight featured at the end looks dauntingly familiar to fans of Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, with a giant mechanical ape-like police puppet robot that appears straight out of our nightmares.
The gameplay itself started off with quite a nice view of the city streets, which very much reminded us of Bloodborne’s Yharnam. However, what really stole the show was definitely the boss fight that followed. It appears to be some British-looking giant robot policeman, complete with a custodian helmet and an ornate mustache, while also moving like an ape from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It certainly adds something unique to Lies from other games in this genre.
We are also thankful to AMD for sharing this footage, as it has allowed us to take a look at how great Lies will look running on their Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU graphics card—and boy, does it look good! Fans should check out our looks at both the system requirements for PC gamers and some great open-world alternatives until its release date sometime late this year or early 2024.
Without having played much yet, one thing is already clear - it will certainly have plenty of weight on impact due to its excellent sound design. This makes sense considering developer 5pb previously developed Steins; Gate Elite which had multiple awards under its belt and achieved critical acclaim worldwide! Details such as these only raise excitement further and make us wish we could get our hands on it right now to play ourselves properly!
