Victrix Gambit Prime Review: Elevating Multiplayer Gaming to New Heights
May-19-2024
PDP has unveiled its latest gaming controller, the Victrix Gambit Prime. This wired controller enhances the multiplayer experience through reduced input lag and a versatile selection of interchangeable components. It's a major option for individuals who devote extensive hours to online multiplayer games.
With the prestigious 'Designed for Xbox' seal, the Victrix Gambit Prime works seamlessly with the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC platforms. It is available for purchase at a retail price of $79.99 either directly from PDP’s website or through various dealers such as Amazon, although currently, its distribution is limited to the US.
Price-wise, the Prime model is offered at a more attractive price point than its predecessor, the Victrix Gambit, valued at $99.99 / £89.99. Despite their visual similarities, the Victrix Gambit Prime introduces a space-saving case replacing the high-quality one of its predecessor, designed to house the controller's numerous interchangeable parts.
The array of customizable options is indeed generous, including four sets of analog sticks (three concave and one with a taller profile, alongside a convex variant), four analog stick gates (split between circular and octagonal shapes), two different D-pads, and a pair of back panels that allow easy access to the remappable back buttons.
Moreover, to enhance the gaming experience, the Victrix Gambit Prime features five selections for trigger stops and employs Dual Core Technology for minimizing input delay, a feature also present in the original Victrix Gambit model. Thus, it is a comprehensive package suited for the avid online gamer.
Reflecting on our review of the initial Victrix Gambit, we commended its customizable nature and superior construction, bestowing it with a four-star rating. It stands as a recommended choice for those seeking a high-quality controller without the expense of the more premium Victrix Pro BFG.
