Wes Anderson's The Phoenician Scheme: Anticipation Grows for Its May Release

Anticipation is building for Wes Anderson's upcoming cinematic release, which is set to make its debut in theaters come May. Despite his unique and whimsical filmmaking approach, marketing and distributing his films has proven to be a challenge. Even with a reputation for crafting highly praised stories, Anderson's forthcoming project, The Phoenician Scheme, has only recently secured a distributor, lacks an official trailer, and is still on track for a summer launch.

According to various sources, this film is scheduled to hit theaters starting May 30, 2025, as part of a limited rollout. Following that, it will reach a wider international audience on June 6, with Focus Features overseeing its distribution in the United States, while Universal Pictures manages its release in other regions globally.

The Phoenician Scheme is directed by Anderson, featuring a screenplay co-written by him and Roman Coppola. True to Anderson's style, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes Benicio del Toro, Cera, Hanks, Cranston, Ahmed, Wright, Johansson, and Ayoade, Rupert Friend, Benedict Cumberbatch, and others.

With the distribution agreement now finalized, there is hope that a trailer may soon follow.
